This 550,000 sf life-sciences campus in Brisbane, CA, consists of three steel-framed buildings ranging from six- to seven-stories and is founded on a common concrete podium. Degenkolb provided temporary stability bracing and three-dimensional erection procedures for an early steel mobilization, allowing for the steel columns to start at the foundation level instead of at the top of the concrete podium. This simplified the permanent structural connections and streamlined the construction schedule. Our services also included developing erection aids to stabilize free-standing columns during erection.
