Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge

WHAT WE DID

The 1958 Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge was replaced by a modern 10-lane version.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Replaced the 1958 Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge with a modern $554 million, 10-lane version by the Connecticut Department of Transportation . Provided erection engineering for bridge steel of the I-95 west approach, addressing the challenges of a coastal work site with high design construction wind speeds, curved steel girders with truncations, and temporary bearing requirements caused by cold weather erection.

This project was completed as Ruby + Associates prior to November 2023. The project experience is included to represent the breadth of expertise of Degenkolb Engineers in the Midwest region.
