The Washington State Convention Center Additional (WSCCA) is a transformative project for the City of Seattle and will increase the current center’s space by more than one million square feet. Since 2016, Degenkolb has provided the general contractor with a multitude of Construction Engineering services including excavation shoring bridging documents, temporary bracing of concrete walls, design of temporary structures and platforms, validation of partial excavation/construction sequences, and peer review of the erection stability plan.

I wanted to design roller coasters since I was 7 and my favorite roller coaster manufacturer at the time, Arrow Dynamics, said you needed to be a civil / structural engineer to design them.

Buildings are in the Nelson blood. My Dad has enjoyed a very successful career as a Civil Engineer and my Grandfather the same as a homebuilder and professional carpenter. Seeing both of them finding enjoyment in their careers while also making a daily impact on cities and communities sealed the deal for me.
I own and play a Keytar.
