Performed advanced non-linear analysis of the building to reduce the extent of seismic retrofit – saving the client more than $500,000. The project also required adapting an existing building to a medical office building function, supporting major equipment changes such as new air handlers, overhead radiology cranes, overhead partition and rolling doors, and miscellaneous MEP units. Converted this existing structural steel, moment frame building into one of Kasier’s newest MOBs. The three-story, 67,000 square-foot facility has space for 42 providers and lab, pharmacy and X-ray services, as well as areas for adult and family medicine, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, dermatology, and a healthy living center.
