For our client JFK Investment Company, this project consists of a new 3-story office building, approximately 90,000 SF with a new parking structure. The office building includes a walkout/lower level that contains 50 covered parking spaces, office space and a walk-out atrium with a covered entrance or canopy. Above are two floors of office space and the roof structure, with rooftop mechanical units and a screenwall.
Degenkolb engineers designed the building’s structural system primarily using steel columns and beams with concrete slab on metal deck floors. Shallow foundations with retaining walls were required due to existing ground elevations at the project site.
