Observing Richter Scale Day

Did you know that April 26th is Richter Scale Day?

The Richter scale was devised in 1935 just five years before Degenkolb was founded. Many observe this holiday by learning more about earthquakes and their lasting effects. Since the advent of the Richter scale, our engineers have embarked on various earthquake reconnaissance trips across the globe, studying the effects of earthquakes on the ground and advancing the field of structural engineering. In observation of Richter Scale Day, we wanted to look at some of our past reconnaissance trips through the years.
