Lincoln High School Performing Arts, Renovation

Degenkolb provided structural design services to modernize the existing 15,900 square foot performing arts center at Lincoln High School in Stockton, CA. This $9 million project provided a modern theater boasting a 350-seat theater and a black box theater, green room, box office, spacious lobby, and well-equipped classrooms—all seamlessly integrated while prioritizing seismic safety and functionality. Approximately two-thirds of the existing wood structure was replaced with a combination of steel and wood framing, while maintaining the original building’s footprint and foundations.
