Cities have always fascinated me; the people, the infrastructure, and the way so many different chaotic pieces all come together and just “work.” That fascination has been present throughout my life. I built cities (with Lego bricks) as a kid, drew cities as a teenager, and tried to visit as many as I could during my college years. I chose Structural Engineering as a career because I believed then (and still do now) that it’s one of the best ways to have a direct impact on how cities function and, more importantly, thrive.
