Solmaz Jumakuliyeva

When I was 11 years old, I spent a month at a summer camp in the mountains that my late grandfather designed. Being surrounded by his genius made my young self think “I would love for people in my life to go someplace and also feel pride at having known the designer as their sister, daughter, or friend. I must follow his footsteps!” I am glad to think that I am continuing his legacy in a completely different part of the world today.
