I was inspired to do something related to buildings after visiting Gaudi’s Park Güell in Barcelona when I was 10. For a while, I dreamed about becoming an architect but soon realized that my hands were not artsy enough but better at solving math and physics problems which led to me pursue structural engineering. After I got my undergrad degree, my mom told me that there are actually 2 distant relatives who are structural engineers, so I guess I haven’t fallen too far off from the tree.
