Insung Kim, PhD, SE, FACI, is a Principal and Director of Engineering Technology. His projects span diverse sectors, such as healthcare and technology. His expertise includes seismic design and retrofit, reinforced concrete design, advanced structural analysis, fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) applications, and energy dissipation device applications. He has also employed machine learning to develop AI tools for assessing the seismic performance of building inventories. He serves as chair of ACI Committee 369 (Seismic Repair and Rehabilitation) and is a member of ACI Committee 318 (Structural Concrete Building Code) and ACI Committee 374 (Performance-Based Seismic Design of Concrete Buildings).
