Growing up, every home I lived in was either under construction or being remodeled – I essentially spent my childhood surrounded by construction sites. I’ve even got pictures of myself as a toddler, climbing a ladder to ‘help’ my dad on the roof. With that kind of hands-on exposure, working in construction felt like a natural career path. While I briefly entertained the idea of becoming an architect, I eventually found my way into structural engineering, and now I can’t imagine doing anything else!
