Practice Areas:
Forensic Engineering

Joined the Firm:
1993

Little Known Fact:
Just like any other good cheese head (I hail from Green Bay), I am a die hard Packers fan.

Client/Business Philosophy:
Create opportunities for people and then empower them to make decisions and you have a recipe for success.  I am always amazed at how much can be accomplished when you engage the full resources of a team.

Virtues:
Patience, diplomacy, and an ability to listen and see all sides of an issue prior to making a decision.

Vices:
Snow sports. My favorite time of the year is winter in the mountains with lots of snow.

Favorite on the Job Story:
I have lots of great memories of projects as well as work related social activities. My favorite job related story is related to the reconstruction of the HP Lankershim Blvd building following the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. It was a great experience for me – ask me about it sometime and I will give you the details. My favorite social events are our holiday parties.  I very much enjoy getting to socialize with all of our employees and their significant others.  We hold four separate parties over two weekends and I attend them all.  I would also be remiss if I didn’t say that I have many stories and memories of great times at the Degenkolb cabins.  If you don’t know about the Degenkolb cabin tradition, ask one of our employees and you will likely hear some great stories.

Special Interests:
Snowmobiling, skiing in the mountains, and playing in the snow with my family during the winter, participating in my kids’ sports teams either as a coach or volunteer (as they get older I find my coaching skills are falling behind their skill level), and playing golf.
