Little Known Fact:
My great grandfather and his father were mayors of Oslo, Norway.

Client or Business Philosophy:
Working to understand other people’s goals and constraints is key to being able to put the puzzle together.

Determination, always trying to deliver on promises

Staying up too late, bad TV, chocolate

Favorite Degenkolb Story:
For 7 years, I worked on the design and construction of the new Kaiser Oakland Hospital, from schematic design through construction. Getting to hold a good friend’s newborn baby there a week after the hospital opened was pretty cool. Another of my favorite moments was the Degenkolb earthquake reconnaissance trip to New Zealand led by Loring Wyllie.
