Little Known Fact:

In Peru, where I am originally from, I played a sport called Fronton, a local version of Pelota Vasca, a popular Spanish sport.  Fronton is similar to handball but played with a wooden paddle and a bouncy, rubber tennis-size ball.  Although never a top seed, my group of neighborhood friends and I participated in several national competitions.  In the US, I satisfy my fronton cravings by playing tennis, badminton, racquetball and pretty much any sport that involves a racquet.

Favorite Project Story:

I recently attended the topping off ceremony at the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital expansion project in Palo Alto.  Having participated in this project from the early stages of design development through construction administration, this was a great time to celebrate with old and new friends in the design, construction, inspection and owner’s teams.
