Sneak Peak of the Stanford Bing Concert Hall

On Tuesday, Degenkolb Associate Principal Robert Graff led a tour for a number of lucky Stanford students through the Stanford Bing Concert Hall construction site.

Prepared with safety goggles, vests and hard hats, the students followed Robert and members of the project team as they described the unique acoustical elements (called clouds and sails) and structural solutions of the project. During the tour, it was business as usual at the site: welders were welding and contractors were busy putting together the final product.

Walking through the buzzing and busy site, one can imagine the state-of-the-art concert hall as it will look when the vision becomes a reality. Degenkolb Principal Ray Pugliesi is the Project Manager. Estimated completion is August 2012 with the first performance following shortly afterwards.
