The Joan and Sanford I. Weill Neurosciences Building will serve as headquarters for the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences. Made possible through a landmark gift by the Weill Family Foundation, the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences leverages UCSF’s bench-to-bedside excellence, bringing together scientists and physicians from across the neurosciences and beyond to solve some of the most complex challenges of the human brain and nervous systems. Standing six stories tall and housing state-of-the-art research laboratories, next generation clinics, and accessible learning centers, this building will be a hub for neuroscience innovation and discovery, providing new opportunities to prevent and cure disabling diseases of the brain and offering unrivaled care for patients.
