Michael has over 34 years structural engineering and project management experience. For the past 20 years, his practice has focused on structural issues related to existing structures as well as new structures with unique technical challenges. Michael has evaluated numerous buildings and performed seismic upgrades on structures ranging from single story historic auto row buildings in Seattle to the Washington State Capitol Building. Michael is experienced in all aspects of structural engineering, from analysis and design through construction and is skilled at presenting challenging technical issues to owners and users in ways that they can understand.

Little Known Fact:
Michael was awarded Totem Sculpture Award from the Girl Scouts Totem Council for meritorious service of lasting value to all Girl Scouts.   He and his wife Jennifer have been associated with Girl Scouts for over 30 years even though their only child is a boy.

His dog, Wilson, was named for the volleyball in the Tom Hanks movie Castaway; and is Mike’s companion on his trips around the country in his Sprinter van, chasing Weta sailboat races.
