Adam was born and raised in Sacramento but he completed his college in Southern California. Adam started his career with Degenkolb in the Los Angeles office and gained experience on numerous healthcare projects alongside some extremely talented engineers and project managers. After several years there, he decided it was time to head back north in 2010. Adam and his wife moved to San Francisco and have lived there ever since. The experience of being in both offices has provided him the opportunity to work with many people and exposed him to a variety of projects. From healthcare, higher education and science and tech to new construction, tenant improvements and historic retrofits, Adam worked on many different projects.

Favorite Degenkolb Story:
I had only been working for a year or so when my project manager and I got called into a very old, somewhat dilapidated, wood building for a small project. I was checking out the base of a 40-foot-tall timber column when I noticed that nearly all of it had rotted away. I remember faking calm as I explained to my manager what I had found as we both quickly mapped an exit route out of the building. The building is still standing and doing great and we never had to use our exit routes.
