Medical coverage at Degenkolb starts with an emphasis on preventive care, covering routine physicals and certain routine screenings. In addition, the medical options provide flexibility and choice, to let employees select the plan that's best for them:

  • We offer three medical insurance plans to choose from.
  • Medical, vision and dental coverage extends to a spouse, same- or opposite-sex domestic partner or other qualified family member who meets eligibility requirements.
  • Dental coverage that allows you to see any licensed dentist you choose, with orthodontia coverage for adults and children included.
  • Vision care coverage for a range of services to meet employees' vision care needs.
  • A health care spending account to help bridge the gap between health care expenses covered by insurance and eligible expenses that are paid out-of-pocket, by setting aside a certain amount of pretax dollars each year.
  • A dependent care spending account to help cover eligible out-of-pocket expenses for child or elder care, by setting aside a certain amount of pretax dollars each year.
  • Short-term disability benefits for approved claims in the event of illness, injury, or pregnancy.
  • Newly hired employees can accrue more than 3 weeks of paid time off during their first year of service, in addition to time off for paid holidays.
  • 8 paid holidays during the year.

Our profit sharing and 401(k) plan has a choice of investment options. The plan also allows employees to take a loan, roll over eligible distributions from a former employer and make catch-up contributions for employees who are age 50 or older. Through the profit sharing component of the plan, the company makes contributions to eligible employees’ plan accounts.

Life insurance for employees in the event of death. This insurance amount is three times the employee’s annual salary to a maximum of $350,000.

Long-term disability insurance in the event of total and permanent disability preventing the ability to work.

Accidental death and dismemberment insurance for employees in the event of death or dismemberment due to an accident.

Access to the services of experienced, professional financial planners to help employees learn how to make informed decisions regarding money and investments through our employee assistance program.

Legal consultations in person or over the phone through our employee assistance program. Free “Simple Will” kits are also available from our employee assistance program.

A commuter benefit program, which allows employees to have money taken out of their pay, before their salary is taxed, to pay for eligible commuting and parking expenses. As a result, employees get a tax savings for the year, not to mention a convenient and flexible way to pay the costs of getting to work each day.

Employees can enroll in the Brooks Brothers Corporate Membership program which affords a 15% discount on all regular priced merchandise at all Brooks Brothers, Brooks Brothers Outlet, Adrienne Vittadini, Adrienne Vittadini Company Store, and Carolee stores nationwide.

Discounts of 7% on Dell’s personal line of computers through the Dell Employee Purchase Program.

Commitment incentive compensation is awarded semimonthly to employees based on a variety of factors including length of service, evaluation scores, and company stock purchases.

Spot bonuses are issued by managers to employees for exemplary performance.

In most cases, a $5,000 award for referring a candidate who is hired by Degenkolb.

CEO Circle Awards are given to employees for clear and regular demonstration of Degenkolb’s core ideologies. Employees receive a cash bonus and recognition from the CEO.
